Okro soup is usually eaten with fufu but I make mine so thick and love to eat a bowl by itself. Add 1 tablespoon of palm oil then add water or meat stock, season it to taste then add the vegetables. Chaya leaves and Ugu are strong and can be added at this stage but if you are using spinach, add it after the okro.
  3. Leave the vegetables to cook for a few minutes before adding the okro. Don't cover the pot after adding the okro and don't over cook the okro because it will change color and it won't have its "drawing" (yauki yauki) consistency
